Each week, Resident Teacher, Kadam Mick Marcon will give a practical commentary to the book ‘How to Understand the Mind’ by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, this class is suitable for someone wishing to deepen their understanding and practice of Buddhism.

The Foundation Program (FP) is a committed study program therefore please let us know you are planning to attend. Each class contains a guided meditation, teaching based on a particular book, discussion with fellow students and Q&A.

 

 


Class Information

    When
The class is held on Wednesday evenings 7.00pm–9.00pm. Class is on most weeks, see below for dates.
    Where
The class is located at Losang Dragpa Buddhist Centre, 36 Texas St, Mayfield.
    Price
The monthly cost of attending the program is $45, concession is $35. With a Centre Card, the program is of no additional cost. It is a committed study program, first class is free to trial.

Parking: Out of consideration for our neighbours, please park away from The Centre if possible. Suggested parking, Baker St, adjacent Mayfield Diggers Carpark. Thank you!

The Teacher

Kadam Mick Marcon is the Resident Teacher at Losang Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Newcastle. With his clear understanding of Buddha’s teachings and down-to-earth manner, he inspires us to develop a peaceful mind, thereby uncovering for ourself a deep contentment and happiness. Mick teaches weekly drop-in classes as well as the Foundation Program.
