
The retreat conditions at Glenrock Lagoon Scout Camp provide a perfect opportunity to relax, unwind & enjoy the peace of meditation.
During the retreat, Resident Teacher Kadam Mick Marcon will explain the basics of meditation practice.
Kadam Mick will guide each of the eight sessions over the weekend starting with an introduction on the Friday night. The retreat will conclude with a light lunch on the Sunday. All accommodation and vegetarian meals are included.
This retreat is a great option for those who wish to learn how to meditate, for those who wish to improve their meditation skills or for those who simply wish to have a relaxing weekend!

Accommodation
Accommodation at Glenrock is basic as it is a Scout Camp. Camping or dorm accommodation is available.
Dormitory accommodation is either a room of 4- 8 beds and depending on numbers, it is possible two people will be in a room. You will need to bring all your linen and anything else for a good night’s sleep. There are female and male dorms available.
Camping or bringing your campervan/camper trailer will require you to bring all camping gear and ensure you are equipped to handle all conditions.
*Please note* This is an onsite only retreat. There will be periods of silence as per the timetable. We ask those who attend to respect these conditions.

Kadam Mick Marcon is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle and has been practising meditation and Buddhism since 2004. With his clear understanding of Buddha’s teachings and down-to-earth manner, Mick inspires us to develop a pure and happy mind.
