Meditation & Mindfulness for Beginners

Meditation & Mindfulness is a way of calming the mind and developing and maintaining a more positive approach to life.
This half day course provides an opportunity to learn how to meditate and how to use your experience of meditation to improve your daily life. A great course both for beginners and those who wish to improve their meditation skills.

This course includes 2 x 75min(approx.) teaching/meditation sessions.

Resilience

Mental resilience is an inner quality that enables us to remain unruffled in times of difficulty. Without it, we are easily upset and our mental state remains vulnerable to circumstances outside our control.

In this course discover your potential to experience an inner peace and resilience as stable as a mountain and as calm as the depths of an ocean.

Loss & Loneliness

The experience of loss and loneliness is a universal one. Buddha taught that the end of meeting is parting and the end of birth is death, and while these truths are undeniable, we usually long for the opposite and experience deep, long-lasting pain when we lose someone we love.

In this course, discover how to identify, reduce and prevent the cause of loss and loneliness through learning to respond in a more positive way and realistic with love and acceptance.

Freedom from Suffering

When we start to understand the truth of our suffering, we naturally develop a strong wish to liberate our self and others from mental and physical pain, forever.

Buddha explained that the main cause of all our suffering is not external, it’s our deluded states of mind. On this half day course, Resident Teacher Kadam Mick Marcon will explain how to identify and overcome the root cause of suffering inside our own mind, and accomplish true freedom.

Kadam Mick Marcon is the Resident Teacher at Losang Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre and has been practising meditation and Buddhism since 2004. With his clear understanding of Buddha’s teachings and down-to-earth manner, Mick inspires us to develop a pure and happy mind.
