In each class a different aspect of meditation and Buddhism is explained. The classes are self-contained so you can drop in any week. There is no need to book or bring anything. Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic. There is also an opportunity for discussion, followed by refreshments.

No meditation experience is necessary, classes are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators. Everyone is welcome.

Class Information

The class is held on Monday evenings 6.30pm–8.00pm. See below for a list of class dates.
The class is located at Losang Dragpa Buddhist Centre, 14 Church St, Mayfield. Out of consideration for our neighbours in this quiet street, please try to park a little down from the centre itself.
The cost of the class is $10. There is no need to book.

The Teacher

Mick Marcon is the Resident Teacher at Losang Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Newcastle. With his clear understanding of Buddha’s teachings and down-to-earth manner, he inspires us to develop a peaceful mind, thereby uncovering for ourself a deep contentment and happiness. Mick teaches weekly drop-in classes as well as the Foundation Program.
